Guys I was told these are "service replacement" hoses. They are rubber material.

I believe this is another case where "NOS" is not like what comes on the cars originally. My memory is a bit foggy on this, but I seem to recall that the replacement hoses were quite different from the originals, like the coils being closer together and more like black cloth tape. I know the '66-'67 is 36" and the '68-'69 is 31". I was told at some point many years ago that the 4" replacement hose was the same as used on some Cadillac AC systems. It would be of no surprise if there was some interchange on the hose material itself.
