Anybody need a core engine... or two... or three!

Extra engines for sale. Most came out of parts cars, but a couple I’d found on Craigslist and at the time thought I couldn’t live without them! Oh well…. Now my garage is too full of clutter to put a car inside. So I’m offering up some of the engines to see if there’s anything here that someone else can’t live without! Your welcome to pick one up if your close enough. Or I can strap it down to a pallet and drop it off with the shipper of your choice. Some of the engines may be runners, but since I can’t guarantee that I’m offering them as cores that you can use for parts or build. If you have any questions, or would like to have the casting dates posted let me know. I can get pictures of anything you’d like to see. Most will not have the bolt on’s such as carburetor, alternator, power steering pump, pulleys, etc. but if you need these things I may be able to come up with them.

I figured someone changed to a 4bbl and got whatever intake they could find. But I should check the vin to make sure its the intake that was changed and not the heads!

They were buried so deep in the garage that you couldn't see them Rob

It's hard to store engines... without some serious racks you can't stack them up. So they take up a lot of floor space!

Did you purchase the property on the Coast?

I think there was a LOT that I did not see! I still remember that tower you made from gas tank stacking - wow!

I made the seller test the well water for VOCs and metals and the results due next month will help me make my decision. I think it will be a go...

That is one nice conversation piece! But I have a hunch that the aluminum 215 looks a lot nicer than a cast iron piece would, and would have less chance of putting dimples into the floor!

I've been using the car dollys from Harbor Freight for engine dollys. When they go on sale it's two for $39.99. I've just been putting blocks of wood to level the engine, but the long term method would be to weld up some brackets to bolt the engine down. You can see them under several of these engines.

We've had a lot of new members join lately, so updating that I've got a 1954 324 short block I'd take $150 plus shipping for.

Anyone with a motor collection like this deserves a bump once in a while. When are you going to open an east coast operation? I don't find much that's relevant in my trips to the local pick n pull.

Good luck with rest of inventory reduction!

Thanks for bringing it back to the top. I kinda forgot about this thread! I did sell a couple engines and a set of #7 heads off one of the 350's.

I'll give you a phone call. I have a 1967 driver that turns out to have pretty bad rust around the front and back glass. Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet, depends on how bad the rust is. Here's a link when I was trying to help a friend sell it. In a round about way I ended up buying it Wanna buy the whole car? John

Sorry, I pulled and sold the heads off that one. I do still have the 1971 with 7 heads, its the picture with black duct tape over the intake where the carb attaches.

Dang John, I really wish I was able to come get that flywheel from you myself, it looks like I missed out on quite the adventure strolling through your property. I had to take my dads word for it when he said you had a lot of oldsmobile parts. haha

If you want to plan a trip over let me know. I can make sure to have some 455's available for you to check out. I've also got a lot of loose heads if you wanted to pick a set that's not on an engine.

I've got a stack of J heads. If I don't have some loose valves I could pull some from one of those. Send me a reminder on Saturday and I'll see what I've got.

It will take a few days to get the shipping quote. Can you pick up a pallet from a freight company depot?
