455 motor. My bracket Delta 88 combo.

Looking for interested parties. I'm entertaining the idea of decommissioning my Delta 88 bracket car. I have 2 other motor builds up my sleeve now, and it would be a shame for this to just sit.

Motor: 1969 455. Standard bore, standard bore 30cc cast pistons, stock rods.
Recently oil honed and re hatched with my dingle ball.
.004 out of round on the worst cylinder. Was a really beautiful block to work with.
Cast rings with moly top rings, tops file fit to .017" lowers to .020"

G heads, ported, Stock reconditioned valves with standard 2 angle cut. Stock valve size. Heads were milled to achieve between 9.2-9.3:1 compression with a corteco gasket. Sealed power MR1840 rocker arm steel pedestals and straps. Not the stock aluminum junk.

Camshaft: Comp cams XE262H with matching springs and lifters.
Correct valve lengths and installed heights were achieved with valve matched retainers using proper gauge and a valve grinder.

Clevite cam bearings, Clevite mains, and ACL rod bearings.
Rod bearing clearances: .0025-.0029"
Main bearing clearances: .0033-.0037"
Rod side clearances: .018-.024"
Crank was cleaned, magnafluxed, turned, and polished. 10/20 or 20/10 I don't remember which was which.

Oil restriction passages were installed on cam feeds 2 and 4. TAPPED, SCREWED, and LOCTITED. I wanted as much oil in those 2 that I could get away with.

TRW pushrods, melling HV pump, milodon 7 quart pan, 1.625" headers. I don't remember the brand. Probably hedman, or blackjack, or something similar. nothing fancy.

Pertronix distributor kit. Edelbrock performer intake (un-milled)

Not sure what else I should mention. It's more of a tire roasting street motor than it is a race motor, but I just can't run an Olds motor in stock form, it would bother me every time I drove it. I have to soup it up some.

70 psi oil pressure cold, 45 psi red hot in gear. Always ran Mobil 1 synthetic 15/50 and enough zddp.
It pushes a 3800lb lump 1/4 of a mile in 13.1 seconds with a 3.23 rear gear, and a th350 transmission.
It won me a couple trophies, and some close rounds.
Has under 10,000 street miles, mostly highway to work, and about 40 passes on it.
Run and broken in just long enough to prove itself

$2500
Drop it in, slap a carb on it, and go. Fully dressed with no bs to deal with except painting to your liking. Better option than a chev crate motor, for less money.

Anybody looking for a fun 455 motor this spring? It gets the ice cream home before it starts melting.
