i have sit on these heads for a long time i was saving them for a future 455 engine build. they are big valve C heads removed from a 69 Toronado. i feel sure the engine had never been apart so these have never been cut on. they are bare cores. i am sure they will need guides and seats. i took them to a shop and had them checked for cracks and are good. the problem i have is that they charged me $100 to check them. i had no idea it was that much to check them. i think i got screwed. i bead blasted them so they are clean. with having them checked i would like to get $175 plus shipping.

 

Ouch! My favorite machine shop raised his price from $25 to $30 a pair last summer. That's hot tank and magg. Nice heads, hopefully someone will snap them up! John

 

that's what i get for not asking before i dropped them off. i just assumed that they would be around $30. with him holding my heads i had to pay or lose them. needless to say, i never went back.
