Vintage car tags, various states and years

Ok, my Dad has a lot of older car tags and I am going to start listing them. Please be patient as these are difficult to list all of them because he has so many, you may have to ask and wait until I can get to his place and look. He obviously has the most tags for Oklahoma. I did bring quite a few others home with me and these are mostly the states surrounding Oklahoma like Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, a few Louisiana and Texas. I think he has some Colorado but not sure on these as I have not gone through all his tags. I do have some misc. of other states and will list as I find. I am basically going for the 60's and 70's as they are usually the most popular but I do have some older ones but are kind of hit and miss. Found a Wisconsin and a few other states in the teens and 20's! I will update the list here or on a post if someone asked about a specific tag. Bepatient on pics as individual pics of all these would take quite a while. I may just take a picture of a bunch at one time to limit the amount of pics taken. Prices range from $10 for rougher tags up to $40 for f&r sets in good condition + shipping in US. If this stretches the rules on pricing or listing, I will pull the ad and/or change accordingly. Please PM me with your email if you want pics as it is easier to send and you will get a better pic! Here they are:

Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas-too many to list so ask and I do have a few f&r 70's MO
Michigan-1965, 1966, 1971/72, also a 49!
Louisiana-66/67, 70/71
Kentucky-1963, 1975
Oregon-1964
Alaska-1966
Indiana-1968 says 4-31 on it
Mass-1961
California
>3/1956 1 has 62 sticker
>Matched front and rear 1963 stamped in but one has 1965 sticker
>1963
>another stamped 63 but has 69 sticker on the left and 70 on right
Texas
>1957
>1960 front and rear
>rough 1964
>1967
>1974 f & r
>1986
Maryland-1980
Arkansas
>exp. 6-30-73
>1977
>looks like 78 but sticker faded
>one no date but in good shape?
Montana-matched f&r truck 70 w/71 stickers
Ohio-57, 58, 59, 60 so far

Will list more as I find them or as people ask about them and get pics if there is interest, thanks!

Is the 1964 Oregon one a matched pair? Both front and back? If so I'd be interested, could you send me pictures? Please let me know if he has other Oregon sets between 1964-79. Oregon requires two plates to register on a vintage car. John

John, I have only found the one so far. I will see if he has the other but I did not see it anywhere in the box this one was in and so far it was the only Oregon tag.

I'd take a 1976 Oklahoma tag if you can dig one up. They still had the year stamped into the metal in '76, didn't they? Seems like they didn't go to the stickers until the late 70s or early 80s, if memory serves.

Matt, Dad has quite a few of of the 60's and 70's OK tags so you can get one on your next visit if you want.

Yes, I believe he has a few and they have the Bicentennial for the US on them, I will dig one out.

Paint is dull with a few nicks and couple of the holes are elongated but it is very restorable. 4-31 is what the tag # is.

This post did not have much interest when I first posted it so I basically forgot about it.

The 1956 California tags are sold. I think I still have a couple of the black with yellow letters 63 and up tags, I will have to dig them back out.

I have not found a matched front and rear set yet, only singles on the 1970 specific tags. I will check to see if my Dad has any more.

Tried to send a PM but it says your inbox is full. Email me at btrbill@yahoo.com when you can. I want to ask about a plate you might still have.

I'm not sure of the availability of tags from that area of the country, but in Florida, 60s and 70s NEW unissued tags run $15-$25 and are somewhat plentiful. I have always had correct year and correct county tags for my old cars and Florida allows you to register them for your car.

Yes, I still have the 59 Ohio tag. It is in good used shape and it is white with red X•388•X and 1959-OHIO along the bottom. If interested, let me know, thanks.
