SOLD! I have for sale a nice pair of rear frame reinforcement bars that have been bead-blasted and powder coated in a cast metal color. These install between the lower and upper control arms in the rear suspension to reduce frame twisting. They are not new parts and have a few scratches and nicks from installation. I'd like $90 + shipping from 77057. Here's some pics:

Reason: SOLD!

These reinforcement bars were for cars with 455 engines. They were automatically included with the W29 upgrade.
And yes Gerald, there are aftermarket for around $65, but I have no idea what the quality is. I put them on my car because I changed up the rear gears and didn't want wheel hop even though it's only a 350.
Randy, I don't believe they will. They are specific measurements from the CA to the mount location on the body. The 66/67 axles are a different width than the 68-72.

I was aware of the difference in the axle width, but don't these bolt to the frame mounts for the CA's? (I've seen separate arms for sale for 64-67 and 68-72, but as we all know, the vendors don't always have the right info). Just curious.
All A body 68-72 frames are (nearly) identical, that's why the GTO folks advertise the same parts as the Chevelle and Cutlass, etc etc.
64-67 is different. I don't know what the precise difference is in the rear, but I have noticed that every aftermarket company advertises a different rear control arm brace for 64-67. Even the companies that use adjustable braces on 68-72. So that pretty strongly implies these won't bolt in on an early car.
But, lots of things can be accomplished with a grinder and a welder.
To be somewhat on topic, the value here is the powder coating. The repop stuff will be bare or have some cheap paint on it.

In '66 Pontiac found out that GTOs running slicks at the strip were occasionally ripping the upper rear control arms out of the frame. The frame reinforcement bars prevent this.
They don't do anything to prevent wheel hop.
