I have a good turbo 400 and mostly complete 455 motor. Both good as far as I know. I bought together with torque converter and all. As near as I can tell from nu.bers they came out of an olds 98. 600.00 for everything plus shipping.

 

What year Turbo 400 ? Torque converter included ? What year 455 ? What is "mostly complete" ? What big S.D. town are you near ?

 

I will double check but I think they are both from a 1981 olds 98. Don't know about torque converter I bought all one piece. The motor is complete except for carb.

Ian it a short tail or long tail 400? Is there a provision for a speedometer?

 

I will check on tail length and I believe it has a place for speedometer. I will try to get some pictures.

 

I believe the tail housing is the short one and it does have a speedometer outlet.
