64 65 66 A-body floor shift tilt steering column

Original 64-66 Cutlass, GTO & Chevelle floor shift auto & 4 speed tilt column. This will need to be rebuilt/restored. The tilt works & locks in all positions although there is some play in the tilt unit. The shaft spins fine but there is some wear in the bearings. The lower end of the shaft has been modified, probably to use in some other vehicle, so that will need to be addressed during rebuild. The steering wheel threads & splines are in good condition, the turn signal mechanism looks to be all intact, as does the electrical switch and cable that runs to it. The date stamped on the collar is 045 6, so it's from a 66. The early floor shift tilts are extremely rare these days. Please see all photos. I will pack with care & ship within the 48 states via FedEx ground. $450 shipped. PayPal preferred, thanks.

Are you sure that is for an A body? Doesn't have the four screw threads for the mount. Also that isn't an A body ignition switch.

Looks like a 66 to me, with the exception of the (as noted) missing lower part of the shaft. What is shown isn't a switch, it is the tensioner for the tilt mechanism.

It is a switch,it's the turn signal /horn and everything related electrical to operate the car. It's cable operated and the spring tension er are located in the top of the column and retained by a plate with 4 screws. It takes a special wiring harness adapter to connect with the standard column harness. The lower section of that column doesn't look like my 66 tilt. Mine has a longer solid shaft that is splined on the end and has a separate couple r adapter that bolts on.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm not well versed with the early A-body cars and was told it came out of an A-body, but that could be wrong. It was definitely modified on the lower end of the solid shaft which is a bummer. Anybody interested in buying it please do your research. I'm open to offers.
