Probably should have explained these are the pretty rare 14" x 6"
plain steel wheel for the mid to late '60's & early '70's disc brake cars.
The code on these wheels indicates they were manufactured in 1970.

fwiw, I've only seen XE on 70. the 70 build date tells me Cutlass and GTO models. What month and year in 70 as I don't recall seeing that in the thread, unless I missed it?

 

You may be right.
My mistake. I was looking at the info orange 442 provided on the "HF" wheel.
I really don't know specifically which year(s) the "XE" is limited to.
It may very well be a one-year-only wheel on the Oldses.
The only date reference I have is what orange 442 provided on the "HF" wheels.
The only thing I was able to find on the "XE" wheels was on a
Chevelle site which listed the "XE" wheel on '68 and '69 Chevelles.
