Vista Cruiser Ski Carriers-NOS

If you're into unusual factory options like me and you have a Vista Cruiser, these might interest you.
You probably won't see too many of these around.
I have 3 sets of these which were in a batch of NOS parts I bought years ago.
The parts came from a dealership in Panama City, Florida.
Wouldn't think there woul;d be much demand for ski racks in Florida.
I would think water skis would be kept on the boat.

Never tried to sell them before.
I figured there wouldn't be much interest, but, I thought I'd try before giving up and scrapping them.
(Still trying to recover storage space.)
These are original GM NOS items. Showing a little shelf wear, but, I think the chrome will clean up fine.
$30.00 plus shipping.

That is one of the coolest options I've ever seen! I think there was a variant of it for Toronado and Eldorado decklids.

This is one option I guarantee they never made for a 57 Chevy!

If you think you're bad, what about me. I don't even have a VC!
I've held onto these for years thinking I'd eventually acquire one.

Sorry, guys, but all 3 sets are spoken for pending receipt of payment.
Several people have dibs if any of the sales fall through.
I'll let you know if that happens.
Never dreamed there would be this kind of response
Thanks for inquiring.

Whoever of you get them, make sure to preserve that instruction sheet somehow. The instructions are at least as cool as the racks themselves.

Not to mention when somebody says "they never offered anything like that" POW! to the moon, Alice!

I usually make copies of factory instruction sheets.
I have a collection including a set for a '67 Cutlass/4-4-2 Cruise control set up I had.
If you're interested, I'd be glad to send you a copy of the one for the ski carriers.

And as we can see, there was little interest in them......
Good job in selling them!

I sure hope at least one of them is going to a VC! or at least maybe add them onto a decklid, wasn't there a rack for the decklids of coupes and 4-doors as well.

From looking at the instructions, I "think" you can mount them to the luggage rack without drilling holes in the side bars. I'd mount them on my car just for show, but would be hesitant to drill the holes. :0

I don't think drilling holes is required.
From what I can see, the clamps wrap around the luggage rack rail and
the screws go into the mounting tubes of the carriers.

Vista Cruiser Ski Racks

Hi: I would love to have a set of these. I had a set that went with the car when it was sold years ago. Yup, should have kept them. I see there is plenty of interest and they will go. I am a tech advisor for Vista Cruiser for the Oldsmobile Club of America and would like to have a copy of the installation sheet if possible. Best Regards, Trent
