Talk about rare NOS parts...

Not mine, but very cool. When have you ever seen a set of these for sale? Kurt, you must need spares...

Nice, quite proud of them I think. But where would you find another set? I would like to see how many bids he gets for these.

Tough call on price. You won't find very many of these for sale in any condition, but the pool of potential buyers is also limited.

I've never even heard of these. They're AWESOME though. Any pics of these on a Starfire?

If I had a Starfire and the exhaust tips were marginal,I'd be all over these baby's. You really can't see anything but the ends but where would you find a good set much less NOS. The ad says free shipping via parcel post,my @$$. If he gets what he wants,he better ship them UPS/FedEx and insure them well.

Wow. Highly distilled, heavily concentrated, 100% pure Unobtainium.

Careful, though - you can't leave credit or bank cards anywhere near it because its intense field of desirability will zero them out.

Chris Dreiling, one of our Members in the NTOC, has two of those on his car!!!! LOL! So subtle, you barely notice them, but YOU DO NOTICE THEM!

They're ALL marginal at this point in time, unless someone disconnected them early in the car's life.

Part of what makes a Starfire a Starfire. And their unique exhaust is part of what makes them so difficult and expensive to restore. 66 is the only one that's simple to duplicate the factory system, and that mainly because it was the same as any other 88.

I saw an NOS set of '55 Fender Extension Mouldings / Mustache mouldings go up with a $1000.00 Buy-It-Now a few months back...I guffawed and put them on my watch list...SOLD - so, there's an A-S for every seat I suppose - seems you could have these made for much less than this - maybe I don't know all the details as I don't own one of these but....yikes

Someone with an old original set and some fabbing skills should be able to make a reasonable facsimile.

BINGO!! And another reason why the parts will get no bids. Rare yes but there are enough used ones around..... and how many are restoring 65 Sfires?. I would say very few.

ya but if you find that 15,000 mile car that is perfect other than the exhaust going bad from siting so long. i think i would consider buying them for a car like that. my example is a little extreme but you know what i mean.
