Hello, I know this thread is quite a bit older. But, are the wheels still available? If so, is the trim ring available through an aftermarket seller?

No. This trim ring is used only on the Super Stock IV and the 77-80 Ninety Eight chrome wheel option.

If you're not a 100% stickler for originality trim rings for an early 90s Chevrolet or GMC pickup will fit properly in the SSIV trim ring recess.

Going by your username you have a Cutlass. SSIV are 5x5 bolt circle and do not fit Cutlass 5x4.75 bolt circle.

Shoot I think you’re right. I do have a cutlass, but I was looking for wheels for my 70’ Vista Cruiser.

The Vista Cruiser is also a 5x4.75" bolt circle (Oldsguy's 72 has SS IIIs on it).

Thanks Tim, I appreciate that. I’ll definitely check them out and see what they have.

Motor Wheel in Lansing made the SSIV for Oldsmobile. They also produced the similar "Exiter" Polycast wheel starting around 1968, and made them in GM, Ford and Mopar bolt circle. Difference is the Exiter has a Polycast center tower and the polymer goes to the edge of the wheel instead of having a trim ring recess like the SSIV.

I have a set of Exiters on my 74 Hurst/Olds. Center caps from an 80s FWD SSIII fit in the tower, and reproduction SSI center cap Rockets fit right in the 80s centers.

One of the original Exiter print ads showed them on a 69 Cutlass. Google used to find it pretty easy but it's not doing it today.

Thanks for posting about the Exciter. That would be a good aftermarket wheel for a 71-76 Delta 88 or even an earlier B body.

Thank you for that updated information. That is a good looking wheel! I will do a search and keep an eye out for a set.

Because they look like these, with advantage of 15" and not having to fool with the bolt-ons or the impossible to find N93 wheels they require.

Aaand... one of the 68 Cutlass wheelcover options. The 8-vent design worked well for Oldsmobile.
