Rallye 350, mostly complete car, probably parting out.

Just got this Rallye 350 & will probably be parting it out. When we first saw it, it was in a dark warehouse & we thought it was a pretty solid project. But on closer inspection & in sunlight, it is a lot worse than we thought. If you're interested in the whole car, please call me. We have a title & it could be saved. That being said, I have a price in mind for most of the parts if we go that route.
The good, the hood is there & pretty nice ,it may be spoken for, core support appears to be nice also, sport steering wheel is there, mirrors look nice, wing is there(SOLD), posi rear with sway bar & boxed control arms, not sure what ratio it is, I think standard non AC ratio is 3:42, but could be 3:91? it has disc brakes, all 5 SS IIs are there, most of the glass is there, OAI air cleaner base & metal lid are there, but may be spoken for. There are a few new parts that came with the car, new 3 piece trunk pan, gas tank braces, & trunk pan drop off panels. The trunk lid is fiberglass. The previous owner was told the engine runs, but the trans. was slipping. We have not tried to start it. It looks to be the correct original engine.

The bad, lower windshield area has been fiberglassed, rear body mounts on the frame are bad, complete trunk pan has been cut out, repro quarters have been amateurishly installed along with repro inner & outer wheel wells. Rear of hood is slightly separated from the metal frame. Not bad, but does need attention.
Fenders are not real nice, doors have issues also. Bumpers are rusty.
Parts are located on the East side of Indianapolis & most items can be shipped.
Call Scott for more info.

Ok,
New link to the album on photo bucket. This time it should work(hopefully, maybe)?

Not working for me either. Unfortunately they are worth more parting out than one can get for them after they get to far gone. Good luck, Ken

Scott, Put me in line for the OAI base. I have a top missing a bottom.

On another note, Not likely a 3.91 rear end. It would have a 4 core radiator/core support if it had 3.91 gears. That is if it is all original parts.

Pm's responded to.

Limey, thanks for the link to the pix. Those are some of my parts, but the Laporte Rallye folder has no pix in it. Not sure what happened there??

Eric,
You're 2nd, thanks for the heads up on the 3:91 ratio. I learn something everyday.

Ron,
We have several parts requests, but no money has hit our hands yet. A few people have dibs on stuff though. I'd like to sell the whole car to someone that could save it. Can you call me tomorrow & I'm sure we can work out a deal?
Thanks.
Scott

how much for the trunk pan pieces with shipping to 78245? Sme as the core support if no one buys the car

Also, i thought all Rallye's were 3.23 gear rear end? and the disc brake is most likely a conversion from what i heard.

Rallyes got a 3.23 gear if they had AC, if not, 3.42 was standard gear. Disc brakes were an option on any car in '70. I have seen them both ways(disc & drum). This one has the correct metering valve hung off the side of the master cylinder. This valve was incorporated into the prop. valve in '71. Not saying it was not converted at some point, but all the parts are correct for a '70 & the master cylinder has the bleeder valves which only came on the factory masters.
Local deal pending on the trunk pieces, core support is not spoken for, shipping might be a bit pricey though. $125.00 for the core support minus the center section plus shipping?

Seeming i am at the stage of hacking apart a 71 core support to mate it with the 70, i might take this option lol. Is there better pictures of the actual core support?

Also if local deal falls through on trunk pan what is asking price?

Also, my car is non AC and it has 3.23 gears on it according to the code on the axle.

If your not going to give a price on the whole car then go ahead and cut it up and be done with it.What a shame.

This is why he puts his phone number on the thread, if someone is serious about buying this car they will call. I see nothing wrong with this, because i have a feeling if he posts the price alot of people are going to nay say it and try to drop the price down or deter other people interested in it as well.

Here are a few up dated pix. We've sold the wing & quarters, wheel houses & trunk pans locally. The quarters were just held on by a dozen or so tack welds & were easy to get off. Still have the mirrors, steering wheel, posi rear & sway bar, disc brakes, hood, & more...
I guess we're parting it out at this point due to no one steping up to buy the whole thing, but it's still available if someone wants a major project.

Angela,
It might have the original carb, but I was told the engine runs & we're going to see if we can get it started before we start pulling the engine apart. On the link to the pictures, there is one of the carb numbers, maybe take a look & see if it's right for your application? I know it should start with 7040XXX. I might have another one in my box of quadrajets also. I've priced the hood to a couple guys, but no cash in hand yet. There are pix of it also in the link. It needs some work, but is very fixable. Like to get $1700.00 for it. The air cleaner top was missing when we got the car & the bottom has been sold, pending arrival of payment. We'd like to sell the whole steering wheel but the horn cap is available in the ropro. market. Congrats on getting your unicorn.

Briane,
I'll have to check, I'm out of town till Monday. I do have an original starter off a '70 F85, it might be the same?

xtremegsxr
The dash pad is cracked/chipped & probably not what you're looking for. If you mean the lower plastic part, it might be good but I'll have to check. Either way, I have several more dash parts & can probably hook you up.

Sicky,
I'll try to check on the numbers on the trans in the next few days & get back to you.

Shradezz,
We still have it. The top is pretty nice, the bottom has some rust/pitting near the latch area & the rear metal lip has been shaved down a small bit, all the way from side to side for some reason. I'll try to get more pix in a few days.
Thanks.
