Parting 1963 Starfire
I will be parting this 1963 Starfire in the coming weeks. Frame is rotten as are most body pieces. Heavily loaded car. Power windows, power driver bucket, tilt, wonderbar radio, speed alert, power antenna, trunk release and posi rear end. Posi may be already spoken for. Clear title. Car is stored an hour away from me, so it might take a few days to check on the condition of components. It's supposed to run, but engine has lots of debris laying on top of it so I'm not counting on that. Looks like it has a '61 or '62 engine in it based on the cast iron water pump and a few other indicators. Haven't looked at engine code yet.

Engine is currently running. A little shaky and a little bit of blowby out the breather. Bottom end sounds o.k. Head code i.d.'s it as a '62 Starfire engine. Condition of all the ignition components was terrible, had to sand the points to get any spark, bunch of plug wires were snipped in half for some reason, etc. Was shocked the carb actually worked after probably decades of sitting. Might run much better with a tuneup and carb rebuild. At worse would be a good candidate for a internal refresh.

Might part it out as it's harder for me to store and move around complete engines. I've also got a 394 4-bbl engine from a '62 Super 88 that turns over but have no idea of internal condition. PM me if you're looking for engine parts.

Pulled the top end off of the short block. Bores look real nice with close to no ridge. Passenger side head had plugged oil returns so a quart of oil spilled on the ground when I removed the valve cover. Couple of plugs on that side looked oil fouled so that may have contributed to the shaky running.

I would be interested in the engine and trans if it turned over and also the tilt steering column and wheel. I'm in Georgia and would come after the goods if priced right.
Thanks

Rear bumper
I have the rear bumper but it is thin where the brackets are welded on. I think I might have poked a small sharp pick through a couple of the deeper pits on the backside. Also has numerous scuffs, small dents, etc. Will need some weld repair if you have it stripped and replated. Could be used as is on a daily driver. $75 plus the shipping.

Engine, trans, tilt
If you read the previous threads you will see that I had the engine running. Did not knock but had some blowby. Oil returns were plugged on one head. Very little ridge. The short block is currently together with heads and sheet metal off. Sold the intake, carb and left exhaust manifold. Good candidate for a refresh. $500 for what's left. Trans went into gear but that's all I know. Couldn't drive car as it had zero brakes. $150 for trans. Sold the steering wheel but still have tilt column. Some slight play in upper column and will probably need a turn signal switch. $250 for column.

Console with tach, shifter with linkage, floor brackets including the welded on ones I cut off, $350 plus the shipping. What are you intending to put this in? Shifter, linkage and indicator is set up for a Slim Jim trans. PNDSLR.

SOLD: power window setup including the switches in console. I do have another console top that's not punched for the power window switches if someone wanted the console without the switches mounted in it.

I did break the engine down. Pan was in good shape. $75 plus the shipping. I think it's in my shop 2 hours north of me, so wouldn't be able to get up and get it for a week or so.
