NOS T44 Hood Lock 1970 Olds Cutlass W-31 442 W-30

I don't think the lock is different, but the included latch is.

The long one piece cable assembly I have is correct for 1970 and possibly early 1971 cars. The metal latch assembly is good for 1970, 1971, and 1972. Thanks for your interest, Bill

Correct. From what I’ve learned over the years, the difference between 70 and 71/72 cars is the cable.
70 is one pc and 71/72 is a two pc with connection in middle which would be visible under hood. Not 100% sure but close.
