Jetstar 330 engine for sale
Dick has informed me that the two engines he has for sale are Olds
Jetstar 330 fitted Blocks. NOS Part # 393966, in original sealed box, complete w/rings, pistons, wrist pins & main bearrings. Of special importance are that these have yet to be stamped, so the owner can match VIN # to their vehicle.
Contact Dick at 978-452-8194

That kind of "special importance" is disgusting.
Fortunately, '67 was the last year 330s were used, and VIN stamping started in '68.

Engines were stamped with special stamps. You would have to have the set they used. I have seen the forgeries and it's obvious.
My 63 Buick Wildcat has the VIN stamped on the engine. Olds didn't do this? That's why I can't find it.

Olds started stamping the VIN derivative on the engine and transmission in 1968. And there is nothing "special" about the stamps. And it can be replicated. You just haven't seen good ones. May not be easy, but Corvettes have been nicely forged for many years now.

64 Jetstar Engine
Sorry to hear your feathers got ruffled and you were "disgusted". These engines are not forgeries or intended to decieve. They were issued by the factory to correct a problem with an engine.

I didn't say that the engines are forgeries. You said "Of special importance are that these have yet to be stamped, so the owner can match VIN # to their vehicle.". Stamping the VIN. *That* is forgery. And I will continue to get my feathers ruffled about that!

It is *not* issued with a blank pad so a VIN can be stamped there "as stated". It is blank because it didn't come with a car to begin with!
The forgers would like you to think that, though. Makes their works of fraud that much easier.

I would be willing to sell my great running 330 Jetfire low compression #381917 out of my 64 post for half that (57,000 mile motor) along with an excellent condition (bead blasted and painted) Jetfire air cleaner.( try and find one) Motor does not have any leaks at all-none or burn any oil etc. I rebuilt the (deuce) carb and it still has the tag on it.aircleaner.jpg Just let me know.

The 330 's are sweet motors. I am going to run it for while after I get the trunk and floors in. Then when I pull the body, like you said the steel crank is what people want for the 250 builds. The air cleaner is probably worth more than the motor.
