Very nice of you to offer up your Olds Parts here on Classic Olds! Especially being a newcomer to the site and all.
I'm sure someone here will be very happy to have the parts you have offered up to our community here. Olds guys are very different from many other car guys!
I see this from many members here on our forum. Could find a better group of guys/gals anywhere except here.
We hope you visit again, share some of your Oldsmobile stories and experiences with us, with pictures if you have some, that would be great.
All the best with your move.
Cheers!
Eric

Glad to help SOMEONE out but it's all still available. Had 2 guys flake out on me. One was going to come by "tomorrow" and yesterday, "tomorrow" came and went. The other was "definitely" going to call me today - but his definition of "definitely" was different from mine, I guess. What is going on? I even took a bath this week! :-)

Type "C" heads are highly desirable, aren't they? Working Turbo Hydro 400s are too, right? I'VE GOT A FULLY FUNCTIONAL ENGINE HOIST AND STAND HERE! Dang, I'd hate to scrap this stuff. But in about a week I'll have no choice.

Sometimes you can't GIVE good stuff away! I sure don't understand it. FIRST ONE TO GET HERE TAKES IT ALL.

Oh, also, I dropped the price on my '66 Toronado (less than 70,000 miles!) - Now $4000...

It this post was a couple few years ago I'm sure you would have had it gone by now, The economy has since ramped up and many guys are busy again.
2 weeks is a tight deadline in a fast paced economy.
Some young guys into the hobby probably need the parts but have no pick-up or extra cash to get their.
Lets hope someone shows up to grab the stuff before it turns into manhole cover someplace!
Do you have any pics you can post ?

Pics of the Toro at :
https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums...-bay-area.html

No pics of the parts but I now have 2 more guys who seem to want them and seem serious. So hopefully, no manhole covers. :-) And one of them is asking a few questions about the Toro, too. This could work out great!

But if those guys fall through too, I'll post parts pics. If they go, I'll update this thread.

I just gathered it all in one place. In addition to what I listed in the first post, there are 3 air cleaners, a couple power steering pumps, 4 alternators and a bunch of hoses. I can't vouch for it all being good but, you know, a part here, a part there and viola! Almost all of it came from either a '68 Cutlass or a '67 442. If I were still a young guy, I'd have loved to run into a deal like this.

I saw this a couple of days ago and thought it would be done by now. I'm just starting a resto on a 67 442, but I have a working Muncie so don't need the turbo hydro and according to what I was told the motor isn't a problem, but free parts are free parts. My problem is I'm in Colorado and your in Cali. I'd be interested if there's a way we could ship stuff that isn't more cost than the parts are worth. What else you have that's for a 67?

Thanks,
Jack

Talking

Happy to say that a ClassicOldsmobile.com forum member came by today and picked up everything. HOORAH! OLDS PARTS LIVE FOREVER! Now I can move with a clear conscience. Thank you, ClassicOldsmobile.com.

So I'm moving from a 4 bedroom house in a too noisy, cramped neighborhood in the San Francisco Bay Area to a nice, quiet 40 acre lot (3 bedroom, 2 bath house and a 40'x60' steel Workshop, complete with a bar/poolroom) in northern Arizona. There's not a single neighbor visible anywhere and you can see for miles in every direction. Completely off-grid. I can shoot my guns in my backyard. Screw you, California Legislature! What a bunch of maroons.

My new AZ paradise (my wife calls it "the compound" :-) cost less than half what the Bay Area house will sell for. With a chunk of cash like that, my next classic Olds will be fully restored at time of purchase.

At 66 years old, I've changed my last transmission.

Congrats on the great new location, and thanks again for your generosity! Hopefully your back is OK - mine was just a little sore on Sunday and today, but not too bad. I'm still surprised my 4 yo was as patient as he was while we loaded everything up.

Regards,

John

Very nice location. Looks to be set-up nicely. Many think running off the grid is inexpensive, however propane/oil costs have risen over the past few years, are you running a tractor engine to keep the shop floor heated and powered up ?
