Looking for various parts 1972 Delta 88 Delmont

Looking for various parts 1972 Delta 88 Delmont. Looking for rear seat bench, chrome for the wheel well, seat belt for back seat. Body fillers for front bumpers and windowfelt and beltline kits. Reccomendations on places that may have those parts in stock.

I can't think of anyone that would have anything for a 72 Delmont 88 .....

As there is no such thing.

Delta stuff however .....

You might check with Fusick.

I would think they would at least have the window stuff.

There is a '72 Delta 88 4 door in a local yard. I pulled the front fenders since they are pretty much rust free. The front bumper filler is trash. Is yours a 2 door or 4 door?

None of these items are reproduced for the big cars, so no vendor like Fusick or Kanter or anyone else will have these. Any body, trim, and interior pieces you need for a '72 Delta 88 will have to come from junkyard cars, ebay, etc.

and windowfelt and beltline kits.
Pieces like this might be available from sources that sell rubber products like Soffseal or Steele. You can check with Fusick, too, but Fusick's inventory of parts like this for the big cars is nothing like it is for the A-bodies.

Didnt think so reason I said 88 Delmont is because when I went to register the vehicle the title came back as the description of the car.

Wow somone did a major typo lol somwere along the line.Delmonts were only made for 67 and 68 then dropped in favor of the delta.I have three 67 delmonts one driving the blue one and two projects.I had to check this posting when i seen 72 and delmont together.Does the car have any badging on it do you have pictures it should say on the fender delta or delta 88.

Nope.

The Delmonts were only made in 1967 and 1968

in 67 the motor options were either a 330 or a 425

in 68 the motor options were either a 350 or a 455

It would be obvious. If there are no badges, they're missing.

What's the cars Vehicle ID (VIN)? That would be definitive as to what model it is. The VIN is located on a metal plate attached the driver's door pillar where the hinges attach. You have to open the door to see it.

According to the '67 chassis service manual, if the third digit is a 2 or a 6, you have a Delmont 88, with the 2 indicating the 330 V8 and the 6 indicating the optional 425. If you have a Delmont 88 with a 425, though, there would also be a "425" badge on the front fender on each side ahead of the front wheels.

If the third digit is an 8, you have a Delta 88, and if the third digit is a 4, you have a Delta 88 Custom. Both came with the 425 as the standard engine.

Of course, the other obvious way to tell a Delmont from a Delta for 1967 is to look at the front end. On the Delmont, the high and low-beam headlights were adjacent to each other on the outboard ends of the grille (just like the 98 that year), and the front turn signals were mounted in the bumper. On the Delta, the turn signals are mounted between the high and low-beams in the grille. From the photos in your profile, the car is definitely a Delmont 88.

As far as your car's title, some title clerk somewhere along the line probably had never heard of a Delmont 88 as it was made for only two years while the name "Delta" 88 was used for about 35 years starting in 1965. He or she probably assumed that the word "Delmont" referred to some sub-model of the Delta 88. Just a guess.

You haven't mentioned this before now. It's well worth it! Convertibles always are.

Let's see some photos!

The car is in a yard on the east side of Indianapolis in a yard called pull-a-part. I have the very nice front fenders from this car & pulled a few other nice parts, but the car is/was still there.
Good luck & let me know if you need anything else.
