dual gate shifter

I have a 1986 cutlass with a 455 and a th400 trans out of a 1969 olds 98, I am converting the bench into buckets and a center console will the dual gate shifter work on a th400? i am guessing so just not real familiar with that setup. Think it would be a nice addition to the car if so.

thank you
matt

It will. It looks like the trans bracket is set up for multiple mountings with an elongated hole. The only thing is it looks like the shifter cable attachment is missing fro the trans. You'll have to find one of those.

Hi,
This setup will work, but as Randy above stated, the attachment for the shifter lever on the transmission will be needed. They can be found through Summit as a universal piece.

That's a good price.Ever since Hurst stopped making these a few years ago,you have to find what is out there.I can supply a complete restored dual-gate shifter, but not for $250.00.
