great running 67 400E

I am in the process of harvesting a great running stock 67-400E with 65 400-425A heads. I am going to remove and use the Miloden oil pan, performer intake, Powermaster mini-starter, new HEI, W-Z's for my 425 build on project 64 "Post" Will sell the long block for $900.00. In addition I have a almost perfect Edelbrock 800CFM carb # 1412-1582 $175.00. Motor has maybe 3,000 miles on it at best. Live in the Dallas area, will not ship motor but can help with transport.

Sorry to ask, but what is been sold. What we see in the photo or some parts are coming off. Are you replacing the parts what you remove?

TripDeuces, last summer I purchased an Olds 455 dip stick and tube from the local Chebby dealer. The dip stick look like that except it has a bright yellow plastic T handle John

Go down to the Chevy store and order Guide part number 417091 and gauge part 10110440. FYI this is not the same gauge as the one with the yellow handle.

I want to clarify something, the engine ran great in my 67 442 tribute car up until April of 08 I pulled it and it been in dry storage and an engine stand since. One member thought maybe that this engine sitting on a stand in dry storage for 3 years is not a good thing and may not be a good buy.

My 77 cutlass sat in a pasture for 10 years, hauled her home, new battery, gas in the tank and down the carb. Less that 30 seconds she started. I wouldn't be scared

Here's one more for the Gipper. In fact I have been told the price ( $900.00) of this 400E is way cheap in the condition it's in. So spread the word in our circle this weekend or Santa Claus is going back to the North Pole and the 400E is going with it for a while.
