Get your Gauge or Stereo Housing in time for summer
#43
There isn't enough room on the face with the 2 5/8" gauges but I could fit them in on a 2 1/16" gauge housing if someone wanted them on the face.
Have a great summer.

Thank you Tom,
That's exactly what I was shooting for. They mount using the same holes you would have if you had a factory 8 track tape player(no non factory holes) and look as though they could have been a factory option.

If you have a console, you could even install a port completely out of sight inside the housing and run a usb extension cable out the back of the housing and up through/under the front of the console to a usb port mounted inside the console bin.

If someone can post a clear pic of their 75 dash or email it to me at w70442@hotmail.com, I'll see what it would take to do do one.
A pic from the front and one from below showing the surface to which it would mount would be great. The current housings are approx 12" wide, 4" tall and 7" deep. It would also be good to know how much room there is where it would most likely need to go.
Be glad to help if I can,
Randy

I will try to get some pics for you this weekend since the 73-77 dashes are pretty much the same.
I'll post a few pics where I mounted the triple gauge housing here for now so you can get an idea.
I'll get some dimensions as well as under dash pictures for possible mounting placements in the 73-77 dashes .
I hope this helps for now,
Cheers
Eric

Hi Guys,
Yep. I'm still building housings. Shoot me an email at w70442@hotmail.com and let me know what kind you'd like.
PS. Thank you Rick and Gary for the kind words. I build each one as if it were going into my car.

Hey all,
Randy asked me to find an aerosol paint that can be custom done to match the interior color of my 72 Cutlass, instead of the standard black housing which I think would look a bit off. Photo of interior below:
I was referred to SEM products, but I cannot find anything near the brown/saddle/gold OEM interior color...
Any help out there?

Hi Frank,
With all the room, I'm assuming, you have under that dash, I can't imagine that we couldn't make it work. You basically just need a flat(left to right) surface 12 1/4" wide to mount the front of the housing to.
The "standard" housings themselves are 12 1/4" across the top at the front. An inch and a half or so wider at the rear and are 7 inches deep(front to rear) and 4 inches tall.
The mounting brackets shown are made to fit the specific contour of the 68-72 Cutlass dash metal but I can build one without those brackets if you don't mind fabbing a mounting method. Simple L brackets are generally all that is needed. I will even supply the painted head semi-tubular rivets I use for you to mount your brackets if needed.
Email me directly at w70442@hotmail.com and we can work out the details.
Be glad to help if I can,

Hey Guys,
I just got an email from someone that went by br78634 as their name on the email. That is also the beginning of their gmail email name. I sent two replies and they both came back undeliverable. The email mentioned that he found out about the housings on a thread about them so I am hoping he sees this reply and contacts me again. If you know who that person is, please tell him his email is broken.
I'm still building them. Hit me up if you're interested.
Thank you,
Randy
