Up for sale is the complete, balanced assembly I was going to use in my first 350.
The pistons are DSS FX 1-6020-4100 (0.040" over) and are brand new.
In my opinion, 3 of them should be replaced due to handling/installation damage. This & the cracked block were the heart of the disagreement I had with White's. Machine shop #2 wanted a fresh start so these parts went unused. Shop #2 didn't inspect/reject any of these as I procured another core engine and we built that one up.
I didn't see any issues with the other 5:
Rings are Total Seal CR3690 105 and are new:
Crank is Nodular, OE Olds 350 from a 72 with auto trans:
The crank was not ground, only polished. There are a few fine scratches but they don't catch a finger nail. To be safe you can have the crank ground 0.010" under.
The assembly was balanced using a standard Pioneer Flexplate (FRA-102) and a Dayco Powerbond Damper (PB1147N). If you procure these the assembly will remain balanced:
Asking $350 obo for the above. I'd prefer local pickup (Johnson City, TN area) but can look into shipping.
. I also have a set of new King (EngineTech) crank/rod bearings. If you'd like these as well I'm asking $50. They are new in the plastic:
