This air cleaner base is a factory unit that I modified to be used with an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold with an OAI flapper lid. I used a typical aftermarket drop base air cleaner as well as bent a Z channel that was made round with a metal shrinker. Then welded the pieces together to create a maximum drop base, sealed edges, primed and painted with DuPont Imron black urethane. It fits perfectly with just a slight compression of the foam filter. Also included is a low clearance throttle bracket to work in conjunction. I’ve decided to go with a W455 manifold and won’t need it. I made this to be used with a Quadrajet and do not know if it would work with an AFB or Holley. It also has dual breather provisions with a flange, not a raw hole. The rounded carb mating flange was also grafted onto the base to make more factory looking. Also included is the air cleaner and cleaner lid element to maximize airflow and a shortened carburetor to air cleaner stud. It does not have the larger inlet snorkel. I also have the Edelbrock Performer 2151 intake available in excellent used condition. I’ve lightly glass beaded and cleaned it to better show flange condition.. All holes/threads are intact and ready for install. I have stainless steel bolts and washers to mount the intake. Selling the air cleaner for $200. If you need the intake with it I’d sell the intake and the air cleaner together for $325 plus shipping. Would consider trade options for a ‘70-72 factory OAI base. Thanks for looking
