D heads for sale
D heads for sale
The Good:
Real D heads, date code 194, have the divided center exhaust port (unique to D, F, H where only 1 center port feeds the intake crossover). These just pressure checked okay from a reputable shop and cleaned (can include copy of receipt).
The Bad:
They need everything. Will need new guides and seats, also deck surfacing. Ports show some erosion from corrosion, it's the worst shown at the exhaust divider.
These came with my car, but I'm building it for the pure stock drags, where porting is illegal. I wanted to get a cleaner set to start with, so I wouldn't have to deal with porting allegations, and repairing the divider would also border on a rules infraction.
Pictures are below, they have a light coat of WD-40 on them to prevent corrosion, hence the sheen. I have these (and more) in higher resolution that I can email to a serious buyer, I don't want to hide anything. I have well built shipping boxes for these (thanks to 64Rocket) and can ship them to a buyer.

This is the worst seat area/combustion chamber.

This is more of the average seat area/head chamber.

Asking $1500/obo. Hard to set a price, I figure this leaves $1500 to rework the heads, and demand will dictate... Let me know if you have any questions, thanks for looking!

Thank you for sending the photos. I need to do some research as to what could be done to repair the valve seat areas as I don't know enough about it.
If anybody else is interested don't pass just because I was the first to ask. Inquire and pursue them if you'd like... I've not made a commitment at this time.

I also should add, willing to do full/partial trades for things I need for my '68 H/O project, including the 1111468 distributor, 7028255 carb, 392668 intake, X/Y exhaust manifolds, 1100767 alternator, mint shroud/heat riser pipe (have air cleaner adapter)... prefer parts that are date coded in a range prior to 2nd week of June, but not that picky.
