Correct 69 70 GM Ignition Lock and Key--

1969 70 GM Cutlass 442 Delta 88 etc. Real GM Ignition lock and Key1969 and 1970 Ignition Lock Cylinder and Key--
Correct style lock cylinder for 1969 and 1970 steering columns -the modern replacement locks are the 71 and up style only. And often not very good

FYI, 1969 and 1970 are different. 69 uses an "E" key blank, 70 uses a "J" key blank.

It's all good. I put an aftermarket AC/Delco unit and its garbage. I'll hunt down an OEM unit eventually.

FWIW - the chrome version is correct for a 70 Olds. '69's used a "satin" chrome version.

Those are some cool looking ignition cylinders.

Is the 69 & 70 Steering column the same except the Lock Cylinder ?

I don't know......haven't ever had them blown completely apart side-by-side. Maybe a careful comparison of the two using a 69 and a 70 Chassis Service Manual would yield some clues.
I lean towards "they're the same" but can't say that w/certainty right now.
