Just curious and learning, but why did you have a T350 and not the T400 behind the engine?

 

Its what I had. I told the rebuilder my plan and he added HD clutches and a mild shift kit plus a looser converter. It was never run behind the 455. It actually came from a 74 Omega (now The Jerimiah's)

That's what I was thinking.... Stuff like this across the country are why I've started investigating an LS swap. How come there's never any deals like this in new england?

How was the motor balanced?

 

Excuse my ignorance but are there options? Not sure I understand.
I can ask the machine shop what the procedure was used.
I'm assuming its standard until "heavy metal" is used but that would be in cases of stroker cranks?

I believe he is asking if it was internally balanced or externally.

 

Makes a difference. The balancer and flex plate will need to be part of the engine package for external.Just saying. No disrespect intended.
