BBO Olds Parts For Sale - '68-'68 G Block 400/Parts

As the title states, I am clearing out some ’68-’69 400 engine parts I recently picked up. I would prefer to sell as a package but will consider selling separately. I have a ’68 .040 G Block 400 for sale. The engine was bored using a torque plate, mains were align honed, caps machined for girdle and reciprocating assembly balanced. The previous owner had more money than common sense. This was a hydraulic roller engine that was set up for carburetion. He decided to run a FAST EFI system, flooded the engine with fuel, and washed out the bearings. This engine had less than 5,000 miles on it when the rod spun . Block/parts are in excellent condition with the exception of the crank which will need to be turned.

The following parts are what’s left and would be included:

Eagle H-Beam Rods – Eagle part number CRS673503D - These are stock length rods and the same as 455 – All rods checked by a local machine shop and are ready to go

Ross Flat Top .040 Pistons with floating pins – stock pin height

Nodular crankshaft – was new standard/standard from Mondello – will need to go .010/.010 – Currently has an adapter bearing to run with manual transmission

Mondello 4 Cap Main Girdle w/studs

All for $975 plus shipping.

I do have the hydraulic roller cam (no lifters though). It’s an older Mondello (Engle) grind; lift is .552int/.537ex, duration is .243int/.257ex @ .050 lift and is ground on a 113 lobe center. Might consider letting it go if bought as package deal. This would make a great engine for a ’68-’69 442 needing a 400. All interested parties can e-mail bponti442@aol.com or call/text 501-454-4947. These are the two best ways to get a hold of me as I don't check PMs very often. Any Florida locals are more than welcome to swing by and take a look.
