Came out of a dynamic 88, turns over freely, has ps pump and brackets, carb, flexplate, starter, fuel pump, fan, all the pulleys, looks like the only thing missing is the alternator and alternator brackets. Trans is a TH400 with the converter

I honestly don't know, I'm not real familiar with the 425, I don't know how to tell cam bank angle or lifter size without pulling it apart.

For the heck of it i'll get the numbers off the tight motor before it leaves this morning. Just out of curiosity, what was the rated hp on the 10.25:1 Cr 2 bbl motors?

They're both the same motor: 1965 2bbl 10.25:1 CR, 310HP @ 4,400 RPM, 450 ft-lbs @ 2,400 RPM.

With a 4bbl, the same engine was rated at 360HP @ 4,800 RPM, 2,800 ft-lbs @ 2,800 RPM.

All ratings with single exhaust.

I've got a 70 455 cast iron intake and a 73 q-jet, I might buy this motor from him and have a good back up

If it's in good shape, it's a great motor, but after sitting that long, it might need a complete rebuild.

Decisions decisions, if I wasn't so deep in the 455 I'd definitely buy it. The 455 is almost done, unless I sell that, I originally wanted a 425 but he wasn't going to part with anything when I started mine
