8.2" posi rear 256 gears

got a good deal on a 342 posi so my rear is for sale.
8.2" posi rear drum to drum. 256 gears. just pulled this from my car. 70 Skylark
nice tight posi. no noise or vibrations. I'll get pics up tomorrow.

Is it a 10 bolt cover rear? What is it out of originally? Thanks

yes it's a 10 bolt. I'm pretty sure it is the original rear that came in my 70
Buick Skylark.

Looks great, are you sure its a 256, what is the letter stamp?

they are 256's. could cruise 80mph with no problem.
where is the stamp you are talking about?

your car is an a-body so this will work.
originally your car had a Chevy rear. I think you will need a different u-joint
