I have a 1975 W30, I've seen some cars with the console emblem and some without. Mine does not have one nor does it look like one was ever installed. The cars without should I assume that the double sided tape let go and is just MIA!

I have seen the same.
I always figured those without have fallen off and never been replaced. You would think that there would be some sort of mark left behind indicating it was once present. Unless it went missing early in life.

That emblem is smaller than the sail panel emblem. I was working at an Oldsmobile dealership in '75 and remember the two Hurst/Olds we received had the smaller emblem on the console. The original owners probably wanted a souvenir. I also remember how hard those cars were to sell new. It was the same emblem that would fit a '73, or '74.

I am not surprised these cars were hard to sell when they were new. You paid over $1k for the Hurst option and got no more performance that a Cutlass with the same engine. Then there is the thing with gas prices on a car that gets 12 MPG.

The catalytic converter and single exhaust. The original exhaust on my car is long gone and replaced with true duals but I do have twin high flow cats. I got dinged for the exhaust when the car was judged at OCA Nationals this year. That is one thing that will be corrected.
