71-72 Fuel Sending Unit with Return Line

I bought this last fall from Orig Parts Group Part # CH20871 but my 71 Supreme does not have a return line. Also, the float was originally on the left side and interfered with my fuel neck. Full disclosure: my mechanic bent the float to the right side to install it and bench tested it. The unit works but I wanted the correct fuel sending unit without the return line. I paid $53 last fall, but will sell for $25 plus shipping from Springfield, Illinois.

I believe it is the number of lines at the fuel pump. Mine has one coming in from the fuel tank and then one out and up to the carburetor. Had I checked with my mechanic before hand he would have told before I ordered the wrong part. I only needed a sending unit with one line.

Part on Rock Auto is DORMAN 692243 {#6428838}
w/ 1 Outlet; w/o Fuel Return
