For sale, a 7040253 Quadrajet carburetor (correct for '70 455 4-speed cars), not detailed, rebuilt several years ago & ready to use, installed on car to test, then removed and stored. I have no idea what it's worth, so taking offers for the moment until I can contact a friend who can give me a value on it, then I'll add a price. Sorry for not having a firm price, but I did want to list it quickly since I'm moving and must clear out stuff. I have a couple of other pictures besides the ones here. Location - Washington DC area. Added Saturday night: Hmmm... someone mentioned (nicely!) that they think this carb may have been restamped... I don't want to misrepresent it, so you be the judge... I know that kind of bs goes on but I've never actually seen one that I know was restamped - have always been into the Cutlasses and not the 442s. Too much to put down here, but I'll be glad to discuss the history of it as I know it.

has same 07040253 number with the dot / peen mark like yours has
Same date 1779

I was told mine came off a real deal car
not restamped

Did you get a qualified answer as to what yours is???
