71-72' Electic Trunk Lock Release-New Price

71-72' (but will work for 70', however switch style is different for 70' model) complete electric trunk lock release package - in excellent used condition. This package has all the parts, release solenoid/lock assembly, mounting bolts, complete intact wiring harness, securing clips, and glove box engagement switch. The switch alone is worth $75-85 as the plastic tabs that secure the switch in the dash are not broken. The switch is the most important part of this accessory and very hard to fine in this condition! I have tested all parts, switch, lock/solenoid, and wiring harness, and it functions as it should. I even measured voltage drop and recorded only a .9 volt drop. $185 + $15 shipping

for those looking the switch is correct for 70, not an easy item to find. As Dave says works for 71 - 72 as well.

Actually that is a 1971-72 switch which were all black with white lettering, The 1970 has a black button pressed in to a chrome plated plastic rectangle, Both will work, but if you have a 1970 showcar, you will want the chrome switch

I thought 71/72 was a yellow button on a black background. I swear mine looks just like Dave's - I'll have to check tomorrow.

Steven,
Hate to say it, but Dan is correct. The later switches had yellow buttons, maybe someone added that option sometime before you got it? or your original got broken & was replaced?

Sorry guys, I just went out to my car, the switch in my car looks just like the one BeenThere posted, I just remember the button not being yellow and it having the word "trunk" on it.

The 70 only switch has a chrome plated steel bezel, and a black plastic button.
