70-72 8 track installation instructions and template

I have copies of the original pattern/template from Oldsmobile needed to correctly cut the A/C ductwork on 70-72 Cutlass/442 and to install a factory 8 track player in its correct location. Also included is the 3 page installation instructions. $12.50 shipped within the lower 48. Higher shipping outside the US.

Very interesting and useful. I'm sure this makes for a much better installation on A/C equipped cars than trying to judge the correct valance cuts by the "after the tape deck is installed" method.

Are the A/C valances on factory installed tape deck cars also cut, or did they use specific pre-molded A/C valances at the factory?

1970-1972 8 track A/C vents

When a car was factory optioned with both Air Conditioning and the 8 track tape player, 2 special lower vents were used. Part numbers 406644 and 406645. When an Oldsmobile dealer installed the tape player, the original long vent was cut to the instructions.

Interesting that the instructions appear to have you cut the vents with a step or notch whereas the numbered factory pieces are a simple curved cut.

Tony, is what you are selling the actual instructions or a copy of them? I may be interested.

So your print, you just lay on the vent and cut exactly where it shows (for 8 track set up).

thanks

I glued a paper pattern (spray glue) to my lower vent before I cut it out.
