'70-2 Cutlass/442 original factory jack assembly - restored
>Shaft is very nice with a very bright/shiny replate. It had some minor pitting in various places and I removed it, etc....no low spots from over-grinding, etc. The end with the "Patent" number on it had a bit of heavier pitting so that was ground out, welded up and smoothed out. The actual patent number is no longer present.
Overall the shaft is SUPER NICE
>Tire tool - currently in black epoxy - beadblasted to bare clean metal and sprayed
>Hook, ratchet mechanism and base - all beadblasted to bare clean metal and sprayed with catalyzed black epoxy. Now sanded and waiting on final paint. I also have a pair of the tire tool clips and attaching screws (not in pics) that were used with the SSI/SSII jack/tire stowage setup to go with this assembly. They will be beadblasted and sprayed with a satin black epoxy.
New/repro rubber pad for the jack hook included with the package (not shown in the pics)
I can spray the hook/rachet mechanism/tire tool/base in either Dove Grey or a black and in whatever sheen/gloss level you want. I've seen original jack assemblies in both colors.
