'67 442/Cutlass Bumper Jack Hook...restored
Here's an original Bumper Jack Hook from a '67 Cutlass/442. Details as follows:
>I beadblasted the hook to bare clean metal. Applied metal prep and primed with PPG DP90 Epoxy.
>There was some minor pitting on various spots...not massive or all over the piece. I filled and sanded these areas. Reprimed, sanded, etc to get a nice surface while maintaining the factory stamping detail on the part.
>The part is currently in PPG DP90 Epoxy....the factory finish was a gloss black. Just clean it, scuff it lightly and shoot whatever paint on there you want.
>Rubber Pad---Excellent condition on the topside and clean. One of the round attaching rubber nibs on the backside that pushes through the holes in the hook is partially loose. Still, it can be fed through if you don't pull in it real hard. A dab of rubber cement on the loose area will hold it in place just fine. The other nib is still well attached.
Overall, a nice piece ready for final paint.
EDIT: Price dropped to $20 + shipping
No paypal. Regular check or money order is fine. I can provide more pics, answer questions, etc. Thanks.
