Here is an original Olds/GM throttle cable for a '70-72 Cutlass 350 w/the 2 Barrel Carb.

>There are a few areas where the outer cable casing black plastic material has cracked. Seeing as how this cable is now "bent"/set/formed for the Cutlass 350 2 bbl installation...there shouldn't be any need to stress the cable....it already has the curvature it would need once installed. With that, the outer casing should be fairly stable. The cracks could be carefully filled with something like superglue if it worried you.
