'69-'71 ABody Restored Evaporator Case - OCA Nats Delivery
This is a very nice '69-71 GM ABody Evaporator Box/Case.....restoration will be finished prior to delivery (OCA Nats in August). NOTE: THIS IS THE DARKER FIBERGLASS version which was used from '69-71 (not 100% sure on '68 case styles). For '72 GM went to a much lighter colored grey fiberglass for these pieces.
>VERY CLEAN surfaces....good "sheen", etc
>Finished Evap Case will include:
- Replated case half screws (black)
- New attaching hardware case-to-firewall (black)
- POA bracket has been pulled, blasted and finished in a correct black finish and is attached w/my own design fasteners that won't rust like the originals which were also left bare
- Inside of case halves also completely clean w/metal divider "plate" beadblasted and painted w/catalyzed epoxy
- Have an original evaporator core that can go with this setup....not tested, etc...would need whatever servicing is recommended by AC people prior to useage (ie - solvent clean inside, clean fins, pressure test?, etc). NO POA valve and the expansion valve appears to be an older replacement.
-Other misc screws and fasteners included like blower motor mounting screws (replated or new), blower motor drain piece(s) + screw, nice original thick rubber-coated POA valve loop bracket w/replated mounting screw
-Will be "pre-loaded" with the appropriate black strip calk (in all the calk channels)
- Black plastic loop/"strap" that was/is used to hold the wiring harness where it runs across the front face of the case halves
-Correctly replated (phosphate) loop bracket that holds a heater hose to the POA metal bracket + correct screw
-May include new rubber drain boot at extra cost
-A sufficient quantity (rolled up) of the proper evaporator bulb insulation - used on the front of the case halves where POA pipe goes into the case (with evaporator bulb device clamped to it) up top and where the evap pipe comes out of the bottom of the case halves
You will need to source a blower motor and resistor (resistor mounts in a square hole in the face of the larger case half) and a new/repro "Harrison" foil sticker if you want that as well.
Will provide more pics as needed....showing the various parts, fasteners, etc. Save yourself A TON OF TIME...no need to track down and buy A LOT of misc small pieces associated with the evaporator case, no need to spend all the time carefully cleaning all the old calk, grease, etc out of all the nooks and crannies.
REMEMBER/NOTE: If you are looking at other used cases you really don't know what you'll end up with, finish/appearance-wise, until you've THOROUGHLY CLEANED all the surfaces on one of these.
$275 + shipping. 2/29/24 EDIT/ADD: Now $250 + shipping
Payment via check, money order or PayPal Friends and Family.

TTT - $250 + shipping. Very clean/nice evap case setup. Pic below showing some of the new/replated/etc hardware that will come with this setup. There may be one or two missing fasteners in the pic but the setup will come with the correct number/type of fasteners (things like screws that hold brackets, etc).
