Well hi Allan, Merry Christmas to you and yours. Thank you for that bit of info.
I DO like learning something new everday. Now you have raised a question.
Could the factory have sent out the rad overfill bottle if so ordered? I think it may have been dealer installed item. Also in white, in the 70-71 model? I have one, I removed it from a 71 S myself along with the chrome SS-1's that are on my 69 project. Here is a pic of the bottle.

What he said ^^^. The coolant overflow from GM was a dealer install and looks completely different. They are repopped and sell for around 200.00. An OEM has the part number and fill levels molded into the plastic, something the repops don't. I have an OEM in my car.

Patent Title: J. M. KRIZMAN COOLING September (OCR) Patent Number: 3614982 Filing Date: Sep 22, 1969 Application Number: Issue Date: Oct 26, 1971
Appears to be pretty Oldsy to me

The '68 & '69's did not have an overflow bottle, so I used a '72 bottle mounted in the same position as '72. Try one of those bottles in the above picture. Or go to the auto mall and look under some hoods and see what you can find that will suit your application.

Is the more square one (on the right) an OEM jar or a repop? If it is I'm interested and would like to be first in line. I bought a repop and installed it a few years ago but the front plastic mounting tabs do not line up with the holes in the inner liner.
