That is a 1968 frame, for anyone that is picky. Hardtop and post coupe are the same.

Brian, what tips you off to the year of the frame?

The extension on the engine crossmember is 68 only. The axle crossmember and rear rails are 68-69 style. However, this will fit/function under any 68-72.

I've restored a couple of 69 442's and had a few 69 Cutlass parts cars and all had the extension on the front engine crossmember. The most recent one was an 02A build date car.

Maybe some early 69's had them. I have only seen them on 68's. I am referring to the small plate that is welded on separately, like a skid plate. The other frames just have the shaped crossmember.

See how that is different in the front? The one that Paladin pictured is the same shape as 70-72. The 68's have a separate plate that is welded, and that area is also shaped slightly different.

Good info and I didn't realize 68 was done different than the other years.
