'68-72 Cutlass/4-4-2?/Full Size Air Cleaner
This is a stock Oldsmobile air cleaner that has been media blasted, primed and repainted. Looks like new.
I'm actually not sure exactly for which cars and engines this air cleaner is correct.
I think it is correct on '68-'72 Cutlass 350 and most '68-'72 350 and 455 full size cars.
I believe it was painted black on the full size cars. This one was originally black.
I had previously media blasted it and repainted it black to use on a '69 "98" with a 455.
(I media blasted a second time prior to repainting it red.)
I sold the car with a different air cleaner. The inside of the lid is still black.
I didn't repaint it since it normally isn't visible and I didn't want to risk damaging the gasket trying to remove it.
I've seen air cleaners like this for sale on ebay claiming to be correct for '68-'69 4-4-2, but,
I believe the 4-4-2 air cleaners had a shorter, wider nozzle.
Again, I'm not sure about any of this so please verify this is what you need before purchasing.
If anyone knows the correct application, I'd appreciate that information.
