Be aware that there is a difference between the 67-69 and the 70 O-Type rearends. The early version used a sealed axle bearing with the oil seal pressed into the end of the tube, and the 70 version used an open bearing with the oil seal sandwiched between the bearing and retainer (same as the 71-up 8.5" 10 bolt rears).

 

Yes this is right out of a 69….does not have the 70 bearings and axle retention brackets

I have a 1969 442 sport coupe with 4 speed manual I bought for my Dad but someone must of changed the rear end because it has a 2.56 or something currently. Looking for a rear end with more oomph and posi. Located in GA.
