It looks like there is a couple of screws or something in the side of the lid on the outside or am I just seeing something else

Must be seeing something else. The lid is a little dusty & a little faded, but no extra screw holes, cracks, or damage. Other than a little bit of fading color, I'd say it's a very nice lid. As with any of my other parts, I stand behind what I sell. If you're not happy with it, I'll fully refund your money or provide other parts, your choice.
