'68 442 Turnpike Cruising Pkg. Original Intake/Carb

I think only my 2nd ever post on here in 7-8 years but well known (Dano)/longtime member on v8Buick.com.

I have what I believe to be an original intake w/ 7028158 carb (A/C, w/orig. tag) from a '68 442 with the Turnpike Cruising Package. Got it w/some other parts I bought.

I realize rare ≠ valuable necessarily & honestly I have no idea whether or not this is even rare (I assume kinda) let alone what it's worth so please feel free to let me know on either.

I'm assuming a price is required on here so I'll throw $350 out there but feel free to let me know if that's out of line &/or to make an offer. I guess if it sells quickly I'll know it was worth more.

Located near Baltimore, MD. Of course local pickup would be preferred but I get pretty good UPS rates & will ship (should be anywhere bet. about $65-120 anywhere in the contiguous lower 48)

FYI, 7028158 was used on all 1968 BBO 2bbl motors with automatic and A/C, so not just Turnpike cruiser. That includes the Vista with the L65 motor and full size cars with the L30 and L66 motors. Good luck with the sale.

Thanks! I don't know anything about Olds. Is this stuff worth anything? Came with some other stuff I bought & is in my way. I'd take a lot less for it & if worthless I'll throw it in the scrap pile.

I hate to say it but unless one has a Turnpike Cruiser that needs to be 100% correct, today most people use them as doorstops. I suspect most Turnpike Cruisers still on the road have been converted to 4bbl.

Thanks - Good to know. I bought a load of 60's Impala parts off a guy, which I also know nothing about but seemed like a good deal, & he threw this inntake/carb in. Maybe he knew it wasn't worth anything, lol.

Is it the tag on the carb that makes it specific to Turnpike Cruisers? I thought Ixd checked & it was a TC specific part. If the intake is the same for all I have no issue tossing it & don't mind hanging onto the carb. just in case somebody wants to do a correct resto.

I'd been out the car game after the '08 recession (I'd sold all my Buicks) & around 2015 or so there was a TC in Mecum that I really liked. I gravitate towards the oddball stuff but just wasn't quite ready to buy a car & then got back into Buicks but definitely a closet Olds fan.

Like I said above, in 1967 the Turnpike cruisers got unique carbs, but for 68 this is the same 2GC number used on every BBO with 2bbl, automatic, and A/C.

TTT - $125 before it goes in the scrap pile.
Could deliver in my travels too. Planning trips to Chicago (via Upstate NY) in Jan, KY in May, & NC in July.
