Running when removed from an Olds cutlass. I have the carb and distributer. Complete with tourqe flight two speed transmission. Please text. No e-mails will be returned. Ask for Ed.

The transmission is the rare piece...

The Chevy I6 isn't particularly rare.

I am with OC. A torqueflyte in a Cutlass is rare.

But, when they put that engine in an Olds, with an Olds air cleaner sticker on it, it's not a Chevy engine, you see. Much like my 09 GMC envoy has an engine better than the CHEVY 5.3, because it's in a GMC.

Say, this I6 would have that rare thin adapter plate for Chevy bolt pattern to BOP trans!

I know, whoopee, who cares.

Funny that Torque Flite trans looks just like the two speed Jetaway I took out of my sons 67 F85 6 cylinder. And it has a dual bolt pattern, BOP and Chevy.

Misinformed sellers with incorrectly worded ads are also not rare, especially on the Interwebs...

Huh, well the I6 Cutlass that I have has that item. The thin plate between trans and engine.

Among my favorites are the "12 volt" rear end, and the "cow induction" hood I have seen advertised.

Are you talking about the small dust cover at the top of the trans, as shown in the lower left of this drawing?

Pontiac used their own unique block that accepted the overhead cam head. That motor was only used in Pontiacs.

That's why we live on a good-sized farm and can't see our neighbors.

Good for you----here I am 12 miles from the nearest traffic light and it just blinks. Nearest house is over a mile away. Only neighbors I have are cows. I sold 354ac when I moved to NC. The Baltimore property I have on Aviation Blvd at the airport is 7ac and if a car sits there over night without tags on it 1000ft from the road I get a letter.....The NIMBYs are hard on the old car hobby for sure.
