Why is it an A/C dash only?

There more versions. One has a separate cover for the A/C vent hole.
I've seen delete plates like yours but haven't seen one like yours that does both.

I even looked at the two dashes I have. The long one will not fit the A/C dash with the vent removed. So apparently they did some revisions along the way. I guess you learn something new every day...

I have several of these radio bezels and I have parted over a 100 66/67 A-Bodies and I don't think I've ever seen one like the long one you pictured. Then again I haven't seen them all either. If anybody has ever seen another one of the longer ones please let us know.

My 66 Cutlass convertible non A/C dash housing has the short one covering a "Retro/Sound radio. It is a spare I managed to find one E-bay as a back up for the Retro/Sound install.

I know with the radio delete bezels there were 2 different styles. The short one and the longer one. I think the short unit was used in 66 and the longer was used in 67.

Was there a heater delete one that was 18 inches long to cover all 3 holes?
