I bought a power steering sector and pump for my 56 Olds several years ago. Since I am just now putting everything back together, I found that there is interference between the sector and the Fenton headers that I put on the engine; they appear to be a little larger than the stock single exhaust header.
The sector bolted up to the frame and the pittman arm just fine. The pump bolted on to the intake manifold ok, but the pulley did not line up. I made a sub plate, that could be removed, to get the correct alignment. I believe that most of the BOP's may have used the same sectors but had different pump plates to fit the engine. Anyway I have the power steering sector, cleaned and repainted, and the pump for sale. I am asking 125 dollars for both.
