I have a bunch of left over parts from a 48 98 convertible restoration cheap. The next stop is the scrapyard.
47 8 cylinder engine in pieces. Block work is done. needs .060 pistons and one rod. Crank finished at .010 under. $300
48 98 two front fenders with inner panels in good condition $100. One NOS left rear fender for a four door $75.
48 98 rear fender spears with some pitting $50.
48 hydramatic transmission $100
48 98 vent wing assys and rear quarter windows condition so so $25.

Is the engine still for sale? By block work, do you mean hardened seats put in as well? Line bored?

 

Hardened seats are installed, cam bearings installed, bored .060 oversize. crankline is true. I purchased the engine and went through it not knowing that a 47 engine block will not fit a 48 due to water pump location. I then purchased a 48 engine and used the new parts from the 47 engine to put into the 48 block. You learn something new every day
