I am looking for a 455 short block or complete motor that is an excellent core for rebuilding. If I get a short block, has anyone built one with Edlebrock aluminum heads and intake? What cam is recommended for street and cruising. I will be using an automatic overdrive with about a 3.73 rear end. I have a 350 olds motor and 350 tranny for sale or trade. It was running when parked but will probably need to be rebuilt.

There should be several members here with extra core 455's. What part of the country are you located in? If you can find one close by the money you save in shipping can go towards your build.

There are several members here running the Edelbrock heads. Hopefully some of them will share what they used in their builds.
