A sans-Serif "F" with J heads? What's the VIN derivative stamp say?

The 74 F block doesn't surprise me (I have a 73 F block with KA heads and set up for a manual trans) but the sans-Serif F surprises me.

Wow, I don't think I've ever seen a san-serif F block used that late. Cool.

F blocks

I have a 1974 "F" block with "J" heads, and a 1975 "FA" block with "J" heads, looks like the switch came late 1974?

FA blocks were used as early as the 1973 model year. There was overlap between F and FA use, primarily on MT cars where the hole for the ball stud on the F block was required. Again, the surprise isn't that it's an F block, it's that it is a sans-Serif F that was used on the 68-69 motors.
